VW Service Now Reset: 4 Method

Method 1: Reset Using Instrument Cluster Buttons

1. Switch off the ignition.
   Make sure the vehicle is completely OFF.
2. Press and hold the 0.0 / SET button on the instrument cluster.
3. Turn the ignition ON (do not start the engine) while keeping the button pressed.
4. Release the 0.0 / SET button after a few seconds.
5. When the display shows “Reset oil service?” or “Reset service interval?”, confirm by pressing the OK button or the 0.0 / SET button.
6. Switch the ignition OFF, restart the vehicle, and check that the “Service Now” warning has disappeared.

Method 2: Reset Through Infotainment System (Newer VW Models)

1. Turn ignition ON.
2. Go to:
   CAR → Settings → Service → Reset Service Interval
3. Select Reset and confirm with Yes / OK.
4. Turn ignition OFF and restart the vehicle.

Method 3: Reset Using Steering Wheel Controls

1. Turn ignition ON (engine OFF).
2. Open the menu:
   Vehicle → Settings → Service
3. Select:
   • Reset Oil Service
   • Reset Inspection Service
4. Confirm the reset.

Method 4: Reset with Diagnostic Tool (VCDS / OBD11)

1. Connect the diagnostic tool and switch ignition ON.

2. Enter:

   17 - Instruments → Adaptation → Service Reset

3. Reset the required service channels:
   • Oil Service
   • Inspection Service
   • Time Interval
   • Distance Interval
4. Save the settings and clear the service reminder.

Important Notes

• Resetting Service Now only clears the maintenance reminder; it does not perform the actual service.
• Always reset the system after completing oil changes or scheduled maintenance.
• Some VW models have separate reminders for:
  • Oil Service
  • Inspection Service

If the warning returns immediately after reset, check for incorrect reset settings, stored fault codes, or additional maintenance requirements.
