2020 Mercedes GLE 350 Oil Reset & Available GLE-300

After performing an oil change on your 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 350, you may need to manually reset the service indicator (oil service light).

The oil service light reset procedure for the 2020 Mercedes GLE 300 (including GLE 300d and GLE 300 4MATIC) is the same as for the GLE 350. Follow these steps after completing an oil change.

  • Your vehicle key (no special tool required)

  • The car’s ignition must be operational (push-to-start)


2020 Mercedes GLE 350 Oil Reset (GLE-300): Step-by-Step Oil Reset Instructions:

  1. Turn on the Ignition (Position 1):
    Without starting the engine, press the Start/Stop button once to turn on the ignition. Do not press the brake pedal.

  2. Use the Touchpad on the Steering Wheel:
    Use the left-side touchpad to navigate the instrument cluster.

  3. Go to “Trip” Screen:
    Swipe to make sure the “Trip” or odometer screen is displayed.

  4. Access the Workshop Menu:
    Press and hold the “OK” button and the “Home” button on the steering wheel at the same time for about 5-10 seconds.
    A "Vehicle Data" / "Workshop Menu" will appear.

  5. Select “Assist Plus”:
    Scroll using the touchpad and select “Assist Plus”, then press OK.

  6. Enter Service Menu:
    Select “Full Service” > “Confirm Service” > then choose “Oil Grade” (if prompted, choose the grade used during oil change).

  7. Confirm Oil Change:
    Select “Yes” to confirm the oil service was performed.

  8. Reset Complete:
    The system will confirm the reset. The oil service light is now cleared.


⚠️ Notes:

  • The reset procedure must be done shortly after the oil change to ensure accurate tracking.

  • If the reset does not work the first time, turn off the ignition and repeat the process.

  • This reset does not reset brake fluid, transmission, or other service intervals—those are separate.
